The latest issue of the CRSL Innovation Journal brings together three contributions examining innovation at the intersection of advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, professional competence, and European quality infrastructures. The issue includes a cross-cutting survey of quadruped robots as integrative research platforms, exploring multimodal perception, world modelling, learned control, foundation models, and sim-to-real transfer. A second article focuses on multimodal robotic perception, analysing how visual, spatial, and tactile sensing can be integrated through deep learning architectures. The final contribution investigates accreditation and certification as innovation infrastructures supporting HSE and ESG professional competence in Italy and across the European Union. Together, these articles highlight how technological development and robust competence frameworks can contribute to safer, more intelligent, and more resilient innovation ecosystems.
