This issue of the CRSL Innovation Journal explores innovation across autonomous robotics, higher education, and evidence-informed policymaking. The volume brings together three contributions examining neural world modelling and environment representation for robotic autonomy, the professional development outcomes of Erasmus+ academic staff mobility in Albania, and the TESAR project’s approach to preparing early-stage researchers for the science–policy interface. The articles address advances in robotic mapping and predictive models, opportunities and institutional barriers in international mobility, and competence-based training supported by simulations, micro-credentials, and responsible AI use. Together, they highlight how technological research and European cooperation can strengthen professional capabilities and support the translation of knowledge into practice.
